IT-security
Internet security is very important, especially the security of information on the respondents.
We have taken the steps below to secure the data, both when in the database and while being transferred from one base to another via the Internet.
- Each code given to a respondent contains information about the company, the Certified User in the company who has distributed
the code, the kind of profile to be filled in, and the profile number.
- Codes are generated randomly and are also encrypted for extra security
- The Certified User is the only person who knows both the code and the name of the respondent. When the respondent is filling in the
questionnaire, he or she is not asked to give names, addresses or the like. Only the User can connect a profile to the person in question.
- The respondent is informed that if he or she uses more than double the allotted time to fill in the questionnaire, then the system will
close down and the respondent will not be able to get in again. He or she will then need to get a new code from the Certified User.
- There is a clock telling the respondent, how much time that has been used, and the Certified User can see the total time used to fill
in the questionnaire.
- The respondent will only be able to edit the last 4 items answered. When item number 4 is filled in, item number 1 disappears, and so
on.
- The answers to a questionnaire are registered as a coded string. You will need a special program to translate the string of coded
information, and to transfer it to the Profile software, before you can see the results. Therefore only people, who have the special program and the Profile software can make use
of the data.
- As soon as the data has been transferred to the Certified Users software, the data in the Applicant System will be erased and a
security copy will be transferred to Garuda Research Institute.
